Trevor Mackesey
Director, HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge
Trevor is a business and communications senior lecturer with the Center for Leadership Education, the associate director of the Master of Science in Engineering Management program, and a veteran assistant vice president in the financial services industry. As a financial consultant, he delivered personalized advice and service on a variety of investment and risk management solutions, focusing on the management, preservation, and transfer of wealth for high net worth individuals and businesses.

Emily Myrick
Sr. Academic Program Coordinator
Emily is a Sr. Academic Program Coordinator in CLE. She advises the Entrepreneurship & Management, Marketing & Communications, and Leadership Studies minors, as well as several student-run organizations. She plans the annual HopStart competition, CLE Connect, and other special events, and coordinates CLE communications efforts.

Zyan Baptiste
Student Coordinator
Zyan is a sophomore currently majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Management. This is his second year as a student coordinator with HopStart. He has past experience with similar competitions, placing in the semi-finals for the University of Delaware's Diamond Challenge. He's excited to use his artistic skills with video editing and social media as well as his passion for entrepreneurship to help support the team.

Miya Herman
Student Coordinator
Miya is a senior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in Business. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and plans to work in life sciences and healthcare consulting upon graduation. This will be her 3rd year with the HopStart team, and she is excited for another great year of cultivating innovation within the Hopkins community.

Alejandro Rodriquez
Student Coordinator
Alejandro is a junior studying Computer Science. This is his first year as a student coordinator for the JHU HopStart competition. As the newest team member, he's excited to lend a hand in the orchestration of the event and learn about the business ideas growing at JHU.
